Vancouver All Star and Future Smart Camps
For 40 years Dynamic Dan Miscisco has worked hard to develop and build high quality camps throughout the lower mainland. Currently the camps are offered in 3 municipalities; Vancouver, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver. Dan as a retired teacher and coach felt the need to pass the torch on so Summer Excitement 2010 marks the first year of the continued tradition under the leadership of Dino Geremia. For the past 10 years, Dino has worked with Dan on these camps as an instructor and a recreation programmer at the Kerrisdale Community Centre. Dino and Krista Geremia, parents themselves, look forward to taking over the Vancouver portion of the All Star and Future Smart Camps. "We have been attracted to the need for high quality summer camps and know first hand how important these experiences are for each child or teen."
Dino brings a diverse perspective to the leadership of the camps as an athlete and coach that has been involved in competitive sport his entire life. A graduate of Notre Dame High School in East Vancouver, he went on to play Varsity Football at Simon Fraser University. His University coaching career began immediately following his playing days. He has now coached football for over 18 years at the University level at both Simon Fraser and the University of British Columbia. He is an NCCP certified coach and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As a result, Dino has expanded the camp offerings to include a football camp "Touchdown Makers" and a strength and conditioning camp "Peak Performers".
Dino's knowledge of the University systems and post-secondary requirements allow him to reflect on the student-athletes that are both successful and unsuccessful as he passes this knowledge on to young student athletes. In addition, Dino's Masters Degree in Educational Leadership enables him to draw from the academic commitment needed to truly reach future potentials. "My goal is to bring together my experiences as a University athlete and then coach for over 18 years with the academic accomplishment of a Masters degree in Educational Leadership all in one common focus:"

As the mother of their two children, Krista can identify with "parent and child needs in camps." Her past career as a realtor enabled her to understand the organization and commitment to be successful in business. She brings a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a critical marketing eye to complete the Vancouver All-Star camps team.
